However you’ll still need to plan ahead and purchase tickets in advance, as top sites (like the USS Arizona Memorial) often sell out of tickets by mid-morning.

A : The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in World War II was a pre-emptive strike designed to cripple America’s Pacific Fleet and base. In doing so, Japan hoped to control the Pacific and prevent the U.S. from interfering with their military conquest of Southeast Asia, Malaysia, and the Dutch East Indies.
