explore the depthswith the best scuba diving In Honolulu

Despite its name, you're not likely to run into sharks at this popular Oahu lava rocks beach. Instead, you'll find a lush underwater world filled with diverse marine life and stunning underwater rock formations, making this one of the best snorkeling and scuba diving spots in Waikiki. Schools of tropical fish and sea turtles call the cove home. If you venture just beyond the cove's sheltered bay, you may even see harmless white-tip reef sharks patrolling the waters. Spend the day exploring intricate caves and tunnels just beneath the surface.

FAQs

A : When you're ready to explore wild Oahu, make your way to this popular snorkeling and scuba diving spot on Oahu's famed North Shore. Formed by centuries of volcanic eruptions, the stark landscape - both above and below water - is a haven for tropical fish and sea turtles. If you're planning to snorkel among the intricate lava tunnels and caves, you'll need a mask and snorkel. You may also want a snorkel vest, as there can be strong surf. One thing you definitely will need is reef shoes, to protect your feet from the sharp lava rocks!
A : Don't worry about taking up room in your luggage with a snorkel, mask and hard-soled booties. You can visit Shark's Cove and explore the beautiful lava tunnels and caves with rental gear, available when you arrive. There's a rental shop directly across the street from the cove, where you'll find everything you need for a fun day of reef exploration. If you plan to do a lot of snorkeling while you're on Oahu, you can also buy your own set at the Foodland store, also across the street. There's no excuse not to get in the water and have fun!
